In fact, adding cola tenderizes meat because of the acidity of the soda, while lending a bit of subtle flavor. And boy is it tender!!! But if nobody told you there was root beer in the pork, you’d never guess it. Add root beer and Sweet Baby Ray's Original Barbecue Sauce to medium mixing bowl, and stir until well combined.
